Home to approximately 11,000 Arkansans (2000 Census), the Lower Arkansas watershed lies within the Arkansas River Basin in Central to Southeast Arkansas.  The hydrologic unit code for this watershed is 08020401.  Two watersheds, Bayou Meto (08020402) and Lower Arkansas- Maumelle (11110207) are upstream.  Lower Mississippi-Greenville (08030100) is downstream.
